  just head that my grandson has a bad kind of cancer.

  i'll try to make this long story short.. in october ... about 3 days before i left for a trip my mother decided to have my cell phone cut off.

  i've had my bill in my mom's name since i was 16 and have always paid it since i was old enough to work.

  but .. out of pure spite, she cut off my phone.

  I totally agree, I hate having JW parents and Family.all the little things become big deals and sometimes I just avoid them entirely.

  For you, I hope your parents come to their senses and not miss out on such a beautiful day for you AND them. what's that cell phone company slogan, Can you hear me now? I hope they do in time for you..

  Very well done, I always referred to the Watchtower as the original MAD magazine.

  i was just researching some things and saw an article scan from 4-15-88 watchtower.

  it talks of an unrepentant "wrongdoes", like a son who was a drunkard and glutton, and if he was unrepentant when brought before the judges, his parents would have a part in executing him.

  my mom had said to me last time she was here..."it's a good thing we are not in bible times, you would be stoned!

  Your Mother sounds lovely.our Mothers should get together and practice chucking rocks. this sort of abuse is the worst kind.

  All I thought of was " let him/her without sin cast the first stone", maybe she has heard of it? funny being stoned, it reminds me of so many witnesses I knew back in the 60' s and 70's who are elders and MS now.

  typical response though, dumber than a bag of rocks ( pun intended )

  i got a phone call from a person that i gave my phone # to.

  and this person said that gays are not welcome here and this is not what this board was really about.

  i told them that this is only one part of the crap that the wts did to people and that we are people too.
